Fueled by coffee and kindness.

GitQi is free, open source, and will stay that way. If it saved you a weekend, a design fee, or a monthly CMS bill, a small gesture back keeps the lights on and the roadmap moving.

Free forever

Open source, enabling your creativity.

GitQi is a passion project.  I have spent years supporting people build and manage web sites and applications, and everyone faces common challenges.  Getting from idea, through design, and into implementation is more than most non-technical people can handle.

I enjoy enabling people.  To me, this is the classic give a fish vs teach to fish problem.  My experience and skills, combined with the latest modern tech, provide the basis for the elegant and opinionated tooling I am offering.  I try to balance useful features, with smart defaults.  Subtle things like; linking to an external site defaults to opening in a new tab, or adding optional Subject and Body details when creating a mailto: link, to obfuscating your email so it doesn't get crawled by spammers.

I want to enable you as simply as I can.

If GitQi saved you time, money, or frustration — a small contribution means a lot. It pays for the domain, the time on the weekends, and the espresso fueled inspiration.

Free services

Designed to get you set up for free.

GitQi is engineered around services with generous free tiers so you can run a real, public, professional website for the cost of your custom domain.

💚 If you'd rather use your own custom domain, that's the only step that might cost a few dollars a year from a domain registrar — and only if you choose to. GitHub Pages will happily serve username.github.io/repo forever, free.
